Brave, the Pixar film

Brave Scotland tour - Scotland the Brave!

Tour of the real locations for Brave, the Disney Pixar film

I can driver-guide you to the wonderful real locations that have been re-created in the fantastic Disney Pixar film Brave, such as Dunottar Castle, Eilean Donan Castle, Urquhart Castle (Castle Dunbroch), Glen Affric, the Callanish Standing Stones, Carloway Broch and the Blackhouse villages, taking in a typical Highland Games along the way if the time is right.

On this tour of Brave Scotland you could even maybe ride a Clydesdale Horse just like Angus, Princess Merida's trusty steed and try some archery for yourself! Everything is possible in the Brave world!

So come along and experience 'Brave' for yourself!

Callanish Standing Stones

The song 'Scotland the Brave' is a rousing patriotic hymn with wonderful lyrics:

Hark when the night is falling
Hear! Hear the pipes are calling
Loudly and proudly calling,
Down thro' the glen.
There where the hills are sleeping,
Now feel the blood a-leaping
High as the spirits of the old Highland men.

Left; Callanish Standing Stones.

Dunnottar castle

Words that were inspired by Scotland's unique ancient landscape steeped in the myths and legends that make my country a very special place in the hearts of my visitors.

These qualities have now been brought together in the Disney Pixar movie Brave.

Many of the voices are those of great Scottish actors and comedians - Kelly Macdonald (Princess Merida), Robbie Coltrane (Lord and Wee Dingwall), Billy Connolly (King Fergus), Emma Thompson (Queen Elinor), Craig Ferguson (Lord and Young Macintosh) and Kevin McKidd (Lord and Young MacGuffin),

Right; Dunnottar Castle.

eileandonancastle
High in the misty Highlands,
Out by the purple islands,
Brave are the hearts that beat
Beneath Scottish skies.
Wild are the winds to meet you,
Staunch are the friends that greet you,
Kind as the love that shines from fair maiden's eyes.

Right: Eilean Donan Castle

Castle Urquhart on Loch Ness
Towering in gallant fame,
Scotland my mountain hame,
High may your proud standards gloriously wave,
Land of my high endeavour,
Land of the shining river,
Land of my heart forever,
Scotland the brave.
